GetLitt Reading Program.

At GetLitt!, believe that this is the year that education policy and schools will focus on promoting reading, establishing and leveraging school libraries, integrating reading within the curriculum and engaging beyond the books through sessions with authors, storytellers, illustrators etc.

GetLitt! is a pioneer in creating an integrated literary and language ecosystem within schools where the child plays an active role in their own learning journey.

For the new academic year, we are excited to bring you the “Reading Excellence Program and Digital Library” with the following highlights:

·        A Reading Program that combines literature with language skills

·        Covers award winning children’s books from multiple Indian publishers & authors

·        Promotes ‘for pleasure’ reading mapped to essential reading & language skills like vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, social emotional learning & reading strategies

·        8-10 physical activity books for each child for the year comprising of 100 activities aligned to the curated book-list for the specific grade (Samples are enclosed)

·        For Grades 1-5

·        Book list – Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5

·        Digital Library Access

o   850+ curated list of award winning children’s books from 30+ established publishers like Amar Chitra Katha, Tulika, Mango DC, Pickle Yolk books, Katha, Young Zubaan, Common Deer Press etc.

·        Teacher Training

o   Teacher training on essentials of the reading program and driving engaged reading at school

o   Facilitator guide with guidance on the activity books and discussion questions

·        Live Author and Illustrator Sessions

o   Interact with 12 authors/ illustrators in a year (multi-school virtual sessions)

o   Learn the techniques and strategies from the expert writers & illustrators

·        Active engagement - Literary Challenges

o   Participate in 12 literary challenges like author reports, creating a podcast on your favourite book, write an author letter, illustrate new characters for a book etc. and win prizes
