Course Description:
Through this course, participants will:
Create a library mission statement and understand how to start creating a library curriculum to meet the needs of their school community.
Learn different reading strategies and engagements to support the Literacy program.
Learn about different writing styles and how the librarian’s role in supporting and reinforcing writing skills in a variety of ways.
Learn how to teach research skills while understanding copyright & plagiarism.
Learn how to teach media literacy to primary and secondary school students.
Learn about digital citizenship and how to teach it to the students.
To receive a certificate of completion, participants will engage in reflections, responses, and assignments.
Professional Fees: INR 8,500
The teacher library workshops are for educators and individuals who aspire to use cutting-edge, 21st-century strategies and knowledge to enhance the school community. These modules will include all forms of literacy, including information & media literacy, understanding copyright, digital storytelling, and more. The workshops will help build a growth mindset, necessary skills, and knowledge to manage a school library and deliver relevant lessons in today’s changing environment. It will help develop independent skills in resource planning, management, and collaboration among educators.

Most of the proceeds of the workshop will go towards building of libraries in rural India.
